After growing up around sports, Alyssa discovered ice hockey and quickly became involved with the women's side of the sport, taking up writing about the Australian Women's Ice Hockey League and Canadian University Women's Hockey in her final year of university. Through Grassroots, Alyssa is hoping to delve more into the stories that get lost in minor leagues, while digging through the internet for bizarre stats and probably while tweeting more than strictly necessary.
